Improve your prospects for admission to the University of Toronto or other English-language universities or colleges - and for success once you are in. This course will give you the confidence you need to excel in a challenging environment. You'll strengthen your skills in academic reading, writing, listening and speaking. You'll also get access to University of Toronto libraries, computers, events and many services.

A grade of B or higher at Level 60 in 0150 Academic English satisfies the language-facility requirement for admission to undergraduate and most graduate programs at the University of Toronto. Some other universities and colleges also accept this certificate as proof of language facility.

2956-Academic English Level 60 Conditional Acceptance

Academic English Level 60 Conditional Acceptance is for students who have received a conditional offer of admission to an undergraduate* or graduate studies (Masters or PhD) course at the University of Toronto or at another institution. The course is designed to prepare you for success in your degree program. You’ll strengthen your skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking through engaging in authentic academic tasks that develop your ability to express yourself and successfully interact in a university setting. Through our on-line learning portal, you will have access to texts, resources, and materials so that you can extend your learning beyond the classroom. You will also have access to U of T libraries, events, and many services.

prerequisites:

For international students who have received an offer of admission conditional upon successfully completing Academic English Level 60. Documentation to support the offer of Conditional Admission will need to be provided and reviewed before acceptance into this course, as will proof of an overall minimum IELTS score of 6 with no band less than 6 (TOEFL 80).

*Please note that this course is not available for students who have been conditionally accepted into the University of Toronto via the following programs: ACE@UTM, Academic English@UTSC, Green Path, FAIR UTSC or the International Foundation Program (IFP).
